Dr. Souza is a returning resident of New Hampshire. Having grown up in Manchester he attended Trinity High School and then went on to earn a Bachelor's of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Worcester, MA. After living in Colorado for a few years he returned to Manchester and pursued post baccalaureate studies at St. Anselm College. From there he went on to study for a career in podiatric surgery at Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine, Philadelphia, PA where he graduated fourth in his class.
Upon completion of his medical degree, Dr. Souza continued his training at Morristown Memorial Hospital, Morristown, NJ, a three year foot and ankle surgical residency program. During this time he trained with orthopedic and podiatric surgeons alike, assisting with not only foot and ankle operations, but hip, legs, knees, shoulders, and hands. One of the highlights of his residency career was a medical mission to Vietnam in his second year of residency. Following residency, he elected to continue his training for a fourth year in a fellowship with Dr. Gary P. Jolly in New Britain, CT. The fellowship program centered around revisional surgical procedures, vascular flaps and nerve releases of the lower leg and foot.
Dr. Souza has many interests outside of his career. When time permits he enjoys hiking, mountain biking, snowboarding, telemark skiing, rock climbing, fishing and gardening. But mostly these days he enjoys spending time with his wife, three children and the family dog.
